Medusa Bleeds
Medusa bleeds, but no one is near;
Medusa cries, but no one hears.
Not one soul can bring another to rest;
Not one child can be calmed at the breast.
Medusa calls, but ears are closed;
Medusa calls, such tragic woes.
Her only company are the snakes on her head;
Constant reminder that she might as well be dead.
Medusa is shamed, yet mocked til dawn;
Medusa is robbed, her love long gone.
Medusa cries, but no one hears;

She cries for a new-sought life tomorrow.
